Writing for fun and profit
Okay, maybe profit is a stretch, but exercising your literary “self” can be rewarding in other ways. Consider the challenge of
creative expression through story development, poetry, essays, articles and more… Whether you keep a personal journal, write an occasional restaurant or movie review, write a “letter to the editor” or scribe the daily haiku, such exercises could be channeled to venues shared with others. There are scores of publications that seek all varieties of written submissions from every level of talent. Certain publications are more serious and discerning than others. There are writers who take pride in having their material(s) published in a variety of publications. For those who wish to explore literary submission, we will provide resource listings. 
Of course, you are welcome to submit your talent to hoi polloi for consideration as well.
Dog Days Press is a humble enterprise that welcomes the literary hoi polloi, from raw, neophyte talent to gifted authors. We attempt to represent “the masses” through our signature literary anthology. 
Whatever your choice, consider new challenges through  artistic expression. Whether you enjoy travel, sports, people, beer, old movies, whatever…explore and expand upon your interests through writing. 

We are launching this Writer’s Workshop initiative with emphasis on memoir writing and publishing projects. In addition,
we are exploring a Life Long Learning venture with the local community. Other topic pages will be added as this site evolves.
